Having worked in this area as a Journalist and active volunteer in the community for over 40 years, I have become well acquainted and informed on standards to the public. The welfare of young people and the elderly have always been among my priorities, therefore, it gives me considerable satisfaction to be able to commend you in the outstanding quality of care provided at Fairfield House Residential Care Home in Lyme Regis. I was well aware of the fine reputation of the home before my Late Brother-in-Law became a resident; and I also have to say that my expectations were quickly endorsed following his admission. Your Manager and her deputy are leaders who expect, and get, the very best kindness and dedication from very willing and efficient staff.

For all the staff in blue, in appreciation of them being so kind, considerate and patient with me. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable two weeks. I shall miss being watched over so carefully but feel more relaxed and able to manage on my own at home, again with a little help as before. My daughter Linda copes with everything, I do wish she wouldn’t worry about me so much, I hope she too has benefited from my fortnight away as I know I have.

We have thanked you all already we know, but we wanted to write to try and express our huge gratitude to you and all the staff at Fairfield House, mainly for the wonderful and compassionate care that you have shown to my mother during the six year she was with you, but very particularly in the last months and weeks when she needed and was given unstintingly constant care and attention. We know that mum was happy and content during her early years at the home and we are so glad to have those memories. It is comforting to us that she was highly thought of and we take great comfort from knowing that staff such as Belinda, Julie, Geraldine, Margaret and Katerina who have been there for a long while and we were able to develop friendships with them, knowing and respecting their dedication to their vocation. Please accept out heartfelt thanks to you all include those members of staff we knew but not by name.
